Draco pinned by ElenaTria Draco pinned by ElenaTria
(from my 'Sleeping Serpent' fanfic - written in Greek and *still* waiting for some Greek-speaking volunteer to translate it in English)

All righty.
This is where it gets disturbing.

'Sleeping Serpent' paved the way for ' Pure Blood'.
Well, it was a ridiculous scenario but somehow I had to get those two together.

Listen to this, it's hilarious: Draco is jealous of Harry getting the part of Mercutio in Hogwarts' 'Romeo and Juliet', so he blackmails the professor (I think it was Tralawney directing the play) so as to get Tybalt's part.
But he doesn't know s.... about fencing, so Snape (for some unfathomable reason) offers to give him fencing lessons (anyone reminded of occlumency lessons with Harry?... And I even wrote that before Order of the Phoenix was out - yes, I know, private lessons with Snape, a common fanfic fantasy).
Draco fancies him - that's a fact. But Snape plays hard to get - as always. So after the show, after Snape tells Draco that he was 'disappointed, to say the least' by Draco's fencing manoeuvres onstage, the boy is so mad at him that challenges him. So there's this duel. It's really fierce, and Draco ends up on the floor (don't ask me why Snape straddles him, it just happened). Snape knows what Draco is up to, so he warns him 'not to go too far'.
But Draco knows better...

o_o That description. That sounds AWESOME! I'd love to read that fanfic, it sounds hot. Where can I read it? ;O
Cool picture. The technique you used is quite cool. Different. And the angle is awesome, too. ;D The background is win.

Thanks SO much for aaaaaaall your kind words, and for pinpointing each and every detail you liked! :aww:
The fic.. is definitely hot but it is in Greek I'm afraid, since I can't write in English YET.. :( :( I'm sure glad you like the description, who knows, maybe you can get inspired by the scene and.. include it in a story of your own. ;)
The technique is cool, yeah, because it's a combination of acrylics, inks and pencils. Thank god I had reference for the background.

I was thinking that your pictures have such life in them that it seems that they might leap off the page, and that you've somehow been able to contain that and keep it on the page.

I really love the great emotional intensity of this drawing. I also the background work. You have a wonderful way of making perspectives in your drawings.

I simply love the way Draco looks so calm even though Snape has him pinned to the ground and not being able to move. He seems so certain that he will be the one to win in the end. In that respect Draco is very much like his father, Lucius, always certain of himself and his abbility to get the upper hand in a tough situation.

I also love the idea of Draco then putting his hand on Snape's wound and licking the blood. Slowly and painfully. Then suddenly the blood will not run from Snape's wound but towards other places. You have the most amazing and deliciously wicked imagination!

Ah, the background, what a pain in the @$$! It always is for me, that's why you won't be seeing many backgrounds in my deviations. I used reference of course, and I should be doing this more often.
Yeah, my first slash fanfic was with Snape/Draco, then it was Snape/Lucius. They had many similarities. Snape was always an easy target for the Malfoys!
Ha ha, yeah, my imagination used to be spicy enough! Those were the days!... At least people were laughing AND getting aroused at the same time. ;)

I think you should try making backgrounds in your drawings more often. You really do have a talent for it, you know! Even though you find it very difficult sometimes, I can see through the techniques you use and in the way you manage to handle the perspectives, that you, most certainly, would be able to make even more difficult, precise and amazingly beautiful backgrounds in the future. It's also a very good idea to use references when making backgrounds as it always leaves the viewer with a feeling of authenticity.

And yes, Snape is a moving target for the Malfoys! A target they just have to get their hands on! I'm sure your imagination is still spicy. You just need some stimulation and some healthy encouragement!

Backgrounds are very important, a wonderful portrait is ok but the right background makes it even more wonderful. Take Elly's works for example!
All it takes is hard work! The viewer's eye needs to travel INSIDE a picture, not just on a face.
Yeah, I do need the stimulation and the encouragement. I've been saying that for months now, and many people in here will certify that I'm a constantly nagging pain in the butt who keeps whining but never does anything, but I hope I'll get over it. It's been a long time since I did something really delightful. But all it takes is patience, from my part and from everyone else's. I hope I finally find the will to do something.

Yeah, Elly is an inspiration to us all. The backgrounds she makes for her drawings is just so beautiful. And it does take a lot of hard work and dedication to be able to make such stunning works of art.

Don't worry about your whining though. We all need some stimulation and encouragement from time to time. Just keep thinking up new ideas for art and sooner or later you will find the inspiration and will to do some more art. I will be waiting no matter how long it takes!

Just watch the extras of the Chamber of Secrets dvd (y'know, J.I. all dressed up as Lucius etc.)
But he was only saying that half-jokingly (he's such a kind man, always ready to praise his fellow actors). He said of Tom 'He's a tremendously charming young man who's a little heartthrob on the set and he's annoyingly handsome really. But I got quite flattered that I was cast as his dad. I asked for longer hair so people could tell the difference...' :D

Yeah, I know, my problem too. :( Up until the second movie (CoS) we could rent the HP films, extras and all. But after Prisoner of Azkaban the producers got more cunning and now they 'force' us to buy the whole thing (20 euros). So I'm always looking for friends that can give me copies. I just won't give 20 euros for 122 minutes of Harry Potter! (but I would gladly give them for 122 minutes of Lucius Malfoy... :D )
Jason is simply perfect. I don't think I'll ever like any other actor as much as him. He's not only gorgeous, he's also a wonderful character and a sweet and loving family man, crazy about his daughters.
(me too, when will we see that damn Order of the Phoenix movie? I want some Lucius action at last! )
