Solus cum sola non cogitabuntur orare Pater noster...
(When a man and a woman are alone they will probably not say Our Father)
You would never believe the amazing sense of humour Claude Frollo had in Victor Hugo's "Notre Dame de Paris". That's what he said when Gringoire the poet, his pupil, told him that every night he spent one hour with Esmeralda, his "wife". Of course they did nothing, but the idea of them being alone was enough for Claude to throw himself into despair and try to exorcise it with his "latin sense of humour".
Richard Dawkins as Claude Frollo, Q'orianka Kilcher as Esmeralda.
Oh, do you like it? I hope so. Of course there's no window anymore, and maybe Claude's figure is asphyxiating. But...
Ha ha, don't remember if we've discussed this before, I think we have, but I'm never too tired to mention that other hilarious line:
"Did you touch her, you sinner?"
"Who? The goat?"
"No! The gypsy girl!"
LOL
(tell me, is the quote's translation in english correct? I mean, I only have it in greek and french)
Hmmmm... it just shows us exactly what Claude is thinking. But... how about the composition? Don't you think it's suffocating now?
And another question: I should reduce the hair's halo, right? 'Cause it's too obvious that Esme's pic was copy/paste, it kinda sticks out because of the halo. And do you think her face should have even stronger contrasts, or maybe more grain? So as to look like the rest of the picture?
No, I don't think we did.
I read it a long time ago (when I was 11 or so). I barely remember all the details, but I know I liked reading it. A bit smaller than Les Misérables!
I loved the Disney version. I went to see it because I heard they had done a wonderfull job turning the Notre Dame digital. I remember watching a documentary about it: a group of artists travelled to Paris to basically sketch the town an all the monuments.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

And gee, I don't seem to remember, have we two discussed about Notre Dame de Paris before?
